Shape Discussions

Building a 1:1 model and thinking about shapes, what shapes can tell and what I want to tell. Also as a starting point for further considerations concerning electronic functions.

The shape feels embracing in three dimensions- from above, in the back/oneside and from beneath. It feels nice to have this ceiling-wall-floor embracement. Also because it's not common to have this great surface of textile in a three dimension surrounding the body. I don't know it in that way, but it feels comfortable. I feel safe though the shape is open and also in some way exposes me to my surrounding. I can be seen, but also I have the chance to observe space and people around me. I am sitting in the lap of a soft and giant friend. What else can he do and what is his story to tell?

Tryouts with fabric hanging from above or sticking to the back surface as objects to be touched. Two black fabric cushions on the floor part suggesting to sit down.

Concerning dimensions after the first 1:1 modell.

Another idea: split the shape into three parts so that dimensions could be located separatly. One could pretend it is still one object arranging the three parts together or one could place carpet, tapestry and ceilestry (textile for the ceiling?!) individually.
